This Spurs v Thunder series is a couple of 50 point games and some overtime periods from being an all-time classic. The back and forth between these two western conference heavyweights is a treat to watch, and it looks as if it’s going down to the wire. We’re now 2-2, with a best of 3 series to play.
3 votes – Kevin Durant. KD got off to a slow start tonight, but he buried the Spurs late in the 4th, hitting shot after shot no matter which (questionable) matchups the Spurs threw at him. Durant took just 4 shots in the first half, but finished the game with 36 points, 8 assists and 6 boards.
2 votes – Serge Ibaka. Even though KD iced this one for the Thunder, Serge Ibaka was the story of the night. He recorded a playoff career high 26 points, shooting a spectacular 11-11 from the field, and as usual, wreaked havoc on the defensive end (3 blocks).
1 vote – Kawhi Leonard. I love Kawhi Leonard’s game. He does all the little things that you need from a role player. He works hard off the ball, both on offense and defense. He can bang down low against the bigger bodies, and his transformation in to an NBA player has also seen him develop a shot from the perimeter – something he didn’t have at the collegiate level. Leonard finished the game with 17 points and 9 boards, shooting 7-8 from the field and 3-4 from deep.
