On the eve of the 2011 NBA Playoffs, I thought it would be worthwhile keeping track of where and when the action will hitting our local TV airwaves. This information was gathered from NBA.com, One HD and Foxtel’s website – but that isn’t always 100% reliable, as evident by the laughable schedule I just read on Foxtel’s online TV guide (image below). There’s so many mistakes in this I don’t know where to start.

As per usual at this time of year, we’ll have to play the TV schedule by ear. Don’t assume the TV guides are correct. If you have any up-to-date info on schedule changes please post it in the comments and I’ll keep updating this thread. A lot of people will come back to read this thread throughout the playoffs, so why not help out a fellow Aussie NBA fan and share the love.
ESPN 3D on Foxtel
This one puzzles me. Foxtel will be broadcasting several playoff games on their ESPN 3D channel, including all of the Finals (reportedly), but this scheduling will not be mirrored on the standard ESPN non-3D channel. And FYI – you can only watch the ESPN 3D channel if you have a 3D-compatible TV. This wouldn’t really bother me, until I realised that ESPN 3D looks to be showing Bulls and Thunder games in the first round, while standard ESPN gets neither. That’s almost enough to make me buy a 3D TV!
I’m not going to post the ESPN 3D schedule because, as shown above, its pretty messed up. Also, NBA.com’s International TV schedule doesn’t include games being shown on ESPN 3D. So for the time being, I suggest you keep checking Foxtel’s TV guide for the scheduled 3D games, or go by the information in this article – again, not sure if that’s 100% accurate.

have you tried watching the 3D channels on a normal non 3D tv? you get double the fun! It’s crazy how they show games on the 3D channels but not more on the standard channels.
$100 gets you every game of the playoffs, whenever you want to watch it, stop it, start it, fast forward it.
I love you NBA League Pass.
thats crazy some days there arent even any televised playoff games
so this league pass with all the features….. does it work the same here as in the us.. no drama?
Hey Celticsfan,
It works a treat mate. I had it for the reg season as well as the playoffs. Speed is perfect. NO drop outs, and you can rewatch anything AFTER the live event.
