Love all those ideas, except no way do you get me to change from the Oakland Hammers. Nothing can make me drop that bone.

And yeah, I love my boys (no homo) but it's easy to get them to do anything when beer is involved and we were watching State of Origin in the pub after we'd finished. Course, none of us were able to make it home cause we were all too depressed.

Loved the Article. Just wish I had more 'buddies' who would spend so much time wasting on purile pursuits like this, excellent.

A few additional suggestions:

Boston 'Beens' - Beantown? Or Has-beens, you decide.
New York Noise - Perhaps
New Jersey Who... Or Turnpikes?
Toronto Ay? - You can't call them Mounties, the Mountains are 2,000 + miles away!
Washington No State - Or Murder Capitals
Charlotte No Shows
Orlando Anti-semites - A reference to Walt Disneys love of all things of Zion
Miami Humidity not the Heat - It's not the Heat but the Humidity that kills.
Cleveland Flatliners - Named after the area downtown the 'flats' where all the party bars are, and clientele have been referred to as Flatliners...
Milwaulkie Suds - While the P*55 is probably correct, this is a bit more polite. And it rhymes with 'Duds'!
Portland (My own team) Drizzle - As it rarely truly rains, but just damp drizzle. Strange we all choose to ignore finer qualities of the city, but hey.
Salt Lake Normans - The city is full of Normans isn't it?
Denver Drought - Not only because the water table is prety desperate situation, but how long since they actually won anything?
Minnesota Purgatory - My favourite as when a player gets drafted or traded there, they usually are said to have been sent to Purgatory...
Memphis? Could be the Quiffs? The Pelvis? or Martin Luther Kings?

LA could be simply called the 'F**koff and die' seeing as most other fans simply say that to them?

The Wannabees is a great name, and seeing as New Jersey should already be called the Who? then, Wannabees is perfect. Surely someone has thought to take them back to San Diego where they could be called the Border Patrol or something?

Phoenix Cultural Dessert -

Sacramento Futility ?

Oakland Ebonics?

Any California team could called The 'Cators, but that would just too easy...

And I forgot to add in the acknowledgements at the end of the article - I'd like to thank Hahn Light (the beer of choice for the night, cause we were all skint), the good people at the Victoria Hotel, Al and Joe (of course) and all the women who chose not to hit on the three dashing young men in the corner of the pub because they knew we were engaging in deep, life-altering conversation.

Yeah, that's true - but MJ's home town is part of the Chicago metropolitan area, so they're all probably Bulls fans more than anything.

Not bad, only thing I'd suggest is the most famous person to come out of Indiana would probably be Michael Jackson. Not sure he's going to supply you with a fantastic team name though.
