The only problem with Ron Ron's post match interview is that it was way too short. C'mon Ron, you promised the reporters you'd be there all night. Oh well, guess you gotta get to the club!!!!!

Yeah, Ron Ron's post match interviews were worth $200.

"I'd like to thank everybody in my hood, Queensbridge...I'd like to thank my psychiatrist!"

“… he will either receive the Kobe-hating wrath that he’s become fully familiar with by this stage, or he’ll go down as the greatest hero in Laker history.”

haha i think those two go hand-in-hand. it's not like they're mutually exclusive or anything lol.

yeah he forced things the 1st 3 quarters. it's a shame, but it happens. people don't remember mj's last championship game for the 20 misses, but for the make over bryon russell to win the game.

he had a solid enough 4th quarter though. thankfully for lakers fans crazy ron ron saved his butt. i reckon the lakers should invite his psychiatrist to join them for the parade, lol.

to quote myself on Kobe:

"... he will either receive the Kobe-hating wrath that he’s become fully familiar with by this stage, or he’ll go down as the greatest hero in Laker history."

Well, somehow he managed to do both in this game. Only Kobe could do that.

themojojedi - You know that Oak actually responds to tweets? I sent him one last night asking him what it feels like to be the baddest motherfucker alive.

He replied.

I don't care what he said. Charles Fucking Oakley heard something I said and thought me worthy!

I guess I should also mention that this isn't Kobe's first Finals series closer with poor field goal shooting:
G6 00 8-27
G5 01 7-18

robd, your Twitter comments about keeping Kobe's Game 7 in perspective are well appreciated by this Lakers (and Kobe) fan.

As Charles Oakley, the baddest man on twitter, noted: "Kobe didn't shoot the ball well 2night - so he went to OTHER THINGS. That's what a SUPERSTAR does. OTHER THINGS to still WIN THE GAME."

I know you respect the history of the game, so you know that it's not like Kobe's alone among all-time greats in shooting poorly from the field in a "championship clinching win", here's some others:
Jordan 1996 G6 5-19 (Finals MVP)
Duncan 2007 G4 4-15
Duncan 2005 G7 10-27 (Finals MVP)
Shaq 2006 G6 4-11
Olajuwon 1994 G7 10-25 (Finals MVP)
Magic 1987 G6 7-21 (Finals MVP)
Bird 1984 G7 6-18 (Finals MVP)
Moses 1983 G4 9-22 (Finals MVP)
Havlicek 1974 G7 6-20 (Finals MVP)
Havlicek 1976 G6 4-15
Havlicek 1966 G7 6-21
West 1972 G5 10-28 (shot 32.5% for the Finals, his only championship)

And these are only players for the winning team. In the end trying to ensure that your team has more points on the board at the end of the game than the other team is what really matters.
