Bogut was the 'only' player in the nBa. Patrick Mills best chance is to be traded in the post season and earn his time in the pre season camps for another team. David Andersen whilst being seviceable has not been part of the inside presence that the Rockets had hoped for, to fill the void created by Yao's injury. The twolves are out of love with Nathan Jawai and the veterans camps are his best bet to continue his NbA career.

The thought of another Magic/Cavs match-up in the east finals is mouth watering. Consider this Cavs front court: James at the 3, Jamison the 4, with a rotation of Shaq, Ilgauskas, and Varejao. Dwight is going to have his hands full...

Poor Patty. Should've stayed in college. Can't blame him for shoring up his financial future though.

I got caught up in the Chauncey discussion on Dime. I think he's a very good player who's game isn't quite at the level of the others in the discussion (Kidd, Nash etc). However he's an exceptional leader, and maybe more so than any player has been able to incorporate those qualities into his role on the floor.

@Ant, there may be nothing "unique" about Chauncey's game, but there are elements to it that are better than Nash/Kidd. Also, I think Chauncey is simply a better scorer than those two. He has the tools to get you 30-35 points without it being a "freakish" game.

It's interesting, I thought the reason he was underrated all those years on that Pistons team was because it was the Pistons, and they played a certain non-flashy style. Now he's with Denver who are a much sexier team, yet he's still under the radar. He just doesn't attract attention to himself I guess.

i have a sneaking suspicion we won't see Patty Mills anymore this season :(

Bogut with another quality game today. 17-12-4-3. i wanna see him catch Dwight and finish as the league's #1 shot-blocker.

i agree rob. i think the Magic are just starting to hit their strides. problem is Vince is likely to injure something any time soon :)

as for Chauncey, he has quietly been having a terrific season. i think he wants to get the bad taste out of his mouth from last playoffs. he didn't exactly have the best series against the Lakers.

The Chauncey thing is interesting. Putting him above Kidd or Nash is very ambitious I think, regardless of future rings. That said, I've also got no doubt that he's a genuinely underrated player.

I wonder if it's to do with the abscence of style points in his game. There is almost nothing in his game which is unique to him alone, whereas Kidd and Nash are full of idiosyncrasies.

I guess Billups has the "Big Shot" moniker, but that speaks to mental rather than physical excellence. Maybe we can rebrand him as the "Normal-sized Fundamental"?

Actually, Andre Miller is another guy who, though not as good, suffers from exactly the same problem.
