Cheers to NBAMate reader Ben for posting this link in the comments. It’s highlights from today’s Clippers vs Blazers game, where our own Patty Mills featured for two minutes of action… and a bucket!
You can see Patty’s jumper at 9:10 into the clip, followed by his assist to Webster.
With Blake out of the team, expect a lot more of these garbage minutes for Mills. So keep your eyes peeled to those Blazers box-scores!

crowd liked it. shame they gotta be up by 35 before they give the dude a run.
Hey, what’s going on? It’s the great Aussie Showdown today (Bogut vs Andersen) and there’s nothing on here about it? So far Bogut has played 5 minutes and Andersen 0. Great start!
hmmm dunno about the ‘Great Aussie Showdown’. Bogut and DA had pretty average games. And besides, there’s so many Aussies in the league now it’s hard to keep track of all these “Aussie Showdowns”
Just read in the Real GM Witetap articles that the Blazers apparently offered the Grizzlies Blake for Conley before they went with Camby. Can’t read too much into anything of course, but interesting to consider that they actually weren’t initially chasing a centre to keep their playoff dreams alive in a tough year, but rather looking to possibly upgrade from Blake. Perhaps they don’t have long-term faith or plans for any of their PGs.
I wouldn’t call Conley an upgrade.
Haha, indeed. But I guess He did play with Oden at Ohio State, and he is at least more athletic and still developing, I can see the logic of him as their long-term backup. But hey, speculation.
Conley is average at best… I wouldn’t touch him or Nate Robinson with a….

Patty’s catch-and-shoot curl at the end of the Celts game was nice too. It’s just a shame that he’s in a situation where he’s just not going to see any meaningful time this season. When he does get a sniff they just run him off screens to try and get him token buckets, which is nice I guess, at least they know it’s actually a strong part of his game. Practice is where the guy must be living right now.
Meanwhile, Bogut is a monster from hell that comes and gets you when you sleep [on him].
Nice to see Nate get televised minutes last week too.
Footage of Patty’s buckets starts at 5:00, couple nice jumpers.
