Actually, in regards to Patty Mills, the Oden injury could be a bad thing for him.
The blazers have 3 options, play on without Oden this season, Make a trade for a servicable big man, or, clear a roster spot so they can sign another big man.
The first guy on the chopping block if they go with option #3 would be Patty Mills.

Let’s face it, another 3-5 coaches will be fired this season. Let’s hope one of them is Rambis. Promote Laimbeer to Head Coach and let the Wolves loose 80’s style!

Al Jefferson and Kevin Love must change their jersey numbers to reflect Laimbeer and Salley’s 40 and 22 respectively, (not a stretch) and Jonny Flynn is made to wear number 11. (Like Pavlovic can argue!)

You then hold a shooting competition amongst the remaining guards to determine who is the hottest shooter and you present the winner, (Damien Wilkins) with number 15, nickname him “The Human Microwave” and march on towards the Playoffs.

The thing that annoys me is that the TWolves play Hollins first big off the bench. Guy plays somewhere between 10-20 mins and get 0-4 points and about the same rebounds. Jawai will come on for 5-7 mins and produce similar numbers then get benched for the rest of the game. The TWolves should move away from the Triangle offense and let Flynn play to his strengths.

spot on Ham. if this was AFL he’d be done. i still can’t figure out if it’s really bad luck, or if he’s just very injury prone. this could screw the Blazers long term. hope it doesn’t.

old man oden, that really sucks. the guy has basically been broken since college and i wanted to see what he is capable of. if he was an AFL player that injury track record would be career over, like shit it looks like parts of him will break at any time, its not a reduced minutes manageable thing.

@wonderbread, not such a bad idea. Houston could use a big boy like Jawai! but i kinda hope he doesn’t get traded, because he’s already been shopped around enough. I’d like to see him try and build something with one team. There’s no reason he can’t aim to be the second or even first big man off the bench behind Jefferson and Love.
