"Suns" and "Contenders" should not be uttered in the same sentence this season.
Amare is a shadow of his former self, and there is nobody who can guard a dominant big man.
The first game the Suns struggled to get over the Clips, and Grant Hill was our leading rebounder. that speaks volumes about how f*cked the Suns are.

Let's be honest. the only reason the Pistons will make the playoffs is because the East is horrible.

If the Pistons totally rebuild their style of play to be run'n'gun I could see them surprising a few teams. They will line up five guys - Stuckey, Gordon, Rip, Prince and Charlie - who can effectively score from anywhere. It could work, maybe with Prince playing some 4. They might get 45 wins, they might even get 5th in East, but its not sustainable for playoff success.

and lol @ the Mavs losing today at home. welcome back Agent Zero :)

i wouldn't hold my breath on T-Mac. he's finished.

and Vic, you're saying Sheed & Dyess are that much better than Kwame/Charlie V/Wilcox/Big Ben??

What we lost with Sheed and Dyess (experience, outside shooting touch) we have gained with size (Wilcox, Ben) and athleticism (Charlie V). We actually have true centers now, as opposed to two soft power forwards.

We'll be too much of a streaky, perimeter team, like the Bulls last year really. But if we go small-ball we could find ourselves out-gunning a lot of teams. Agree with Rob, I can't see how we're worse than last year. What we gained = much greater than what we lost.

Pistons front court is complete dross. Kwame, Big Ben, Chris Wilcox, Charlie V. Heh.

Get rid of one shot jacking, ball hogging, minute stealing, undersized shooting guard and add a younger version.

I actually like the Kuester appontment but the rest is hilarious.

if the championship goes to anyone other than Cavs, Spurs, Celts, Magic or Lakers I'd be EXTREMELY surprised. and my tip is the Spurs.

and can't wait for T-Mac to come back. i think he's going to surprise everyone.

yihaaaaaaa season starts today!

i too am interested to see who that next level contender is. last season no one even considered the Magic making the Finals, and look what happened. personally, i think it could be Dallas.
