In a result fitting of last night’s epic Game 6, the Derrick Rose t-shirt competition came down to the wire. Two participants were tied on the exact same differential for Rose’s stats – Jim S. and Simon C. But Jim fared 3 points better in predicting the final result, which was a narrowest of margins victory for the Bulls.

So congratulations to Jim S. on winning the Derrick Rose t-shirt. I can’t help but think the game going to triple-OT severely helped your cause. The average predicted numbers for Rose were 19-7-7 while his actual numbers were 28-8-7.

As for the Dwight Howard competition, it has now been postponed to Game 1 of the second round and all entries are still welcome – see the original post for competition details. Of course, you may want to wait to see who Orlando end up playing – if the Bulls-Celtics series ever finishes – and anyone who has already submitted their predictions can re-submit.

And also thanks to the many emails that suggested next time we should instead run a Derrick Rose Wet T-shirt competition to better engage our female audience.
