Re: flopping. This is the NBA’s fault, not Varejao’s. V is doing what he has to do to get the right call. If a player commits an offensive foul and V doesn’t flop the ref will rarely, if ever, make the right call and call the charge. Unfortunately, the NBA is forcing V to overreact in order to get a correct call.

Those photos should lead to the NBA instituting the ‘Varejao Rule,’ whereby anyone named Varejao can never have a charge call go their way.

you could have awarded this HTFU to Varejeo at any point in the last few seasons. the guy is a serial flopper, always will be. the funny thing is he gets credit for his “hustle” plays, but he has no toughness whatsoever. he is overrated, if that’s even possible. i can’t believe he even gets a game.

there are lots of videos of Varejao flopping. but i like that one. it shows us a man torn between dealing with pain and the need to act, and acting won out. Essential Varejao.

i wouldnt use that video as an example of flopping, feigning injury yes, but he didnt even get a chance to flop since baby basically tackled his head first.
