i think the "doesn't look like he cares" thing is due to Tracy looking like he's asleep half the time. he does care. he's tried damn hard in some of those first round playoff series. it's just never all come together for him, the individual play combined with the team play. last it was Yao injuries. this year its himself.

his value was probably always hyped a little. even when he was tearing it up in Orlando, the Magic actually had a terrible TERRIBLE record. contrast that to Kobe when he was shouldering the load for a bad team in 2005-2007 - they still made the playoffs in the West.

i think history will be a little unkind to T-Mac.

I agree it's sad to see him bow out like this. There is nothing worse than a great player with so much potential having their career injury plagued.

The thing is, even between injuries, he still played 40-60 games a season, and in the last few seasons, during those games he has grossly underperformed.
He looks like he doesn't care when he's out there, and that impacts the Rockets more than his sidelining.

The rockets aren't finished now that Tmac is injured, ther were finished 3 years ago when Tmac stopped caring.

apparently he didn't even tell his team he was injured. some of the players found out through the media!

i don't think we'll ever see the old T-Mac again. and i agree, the Rockets don't seem capable of winning a title without him.
